This Educational Live Virtual Tour invites participants to explore the historical, cultural, and architectural foundations of modern Athens in real time. Led live from the streets of Athens, this interactive program focuses on neoclassical architecture and its role in shaping Greek national identity during the 19th century.

Participants will learn about the National Library of Greece, the Neoclassical Trilogy, the Academy of Athens, the University of Athens, and their importance as symbols of education, democracy, and cultural revival. The tour also includes the Numismatic Museum, housed in the historic Schliemann Mansion, offering insight into how architecture reflects social values, wealth, and history.

At Syntagma Square, in front of the Hellenic Parliament, we will discuss key moments of modern Greek history and observe how public spaces function in contemporary civic life. The experience continues along Ermou Street, where participants can see how historic architecture and modern urban life coexist.

This Live Virtual Tour encourages observation, discussion, and questions throughout, making it ideal for adult education, lifelong learning programs, and cultural enrichment events.
